International Convention 2026: US & Canada External Staffing Application

Each February, BBYO recruits a talented and enthusiastic team of alumni, parents, Jewish professionals, college students (at least one year removed from high school) and other friends of BBYO to join our International Convention staff. Together, they enrich the IC experience for thousands of teens from around the world. 

This application is for volunteers who live in the U.S. and Canada and who wish to stay onsite and fully staff IC 2026 in Philadelphia, PA, from February 10—16, 2026. This is not a paid position; however, your travel costs, rooming, and onsite meals will be covered under BBYO’s staff travel guidelines. 

If you are based outside of the U.S. and  Canada and are interested in staffing IC, please contact Erica Abrams at eabrams@bbyo.org. If you are a BBYO professional (FT/PT/intern/JCC – anywhere in the world), please do not apply on this form. We’ll confirm your attendance at IC 2026 internally.  

If selected to staff IC 2026, you will be required to complete all BBYO compliance credentials and registration for IC staff by the given deadlines. This includes all Pennsylvania Compliance Requirements including a Pennsylvania Background Check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Check, and FBI Fingerprint Check.  

This IC External Staff Application will be open through Sunday, September 21. Submission of this application does not guarantee your selection. You will be contacted by early November with the status of your acceptance. For questions, please email Erica Abrams at eabrams@bbyo.org.  

Once your application is submitted, your reference will receive an automated email asking them to complete a simple recommendation form on your behalf. 






Please note that if you are not available for the duration of IC, you will not be accepted to staff.

BBYO Professional Reference
All applicants need a BBYO professional reference in order to staff IC. All references must currently work for BBYO full-time or manage BBYO through a partner agency (i.e. a JCC) and have a BBYO email address. If you are unsure who to list as a reference, reach out to Erica Abrams at eabrams@bbyo.org. Please identify your reference below.
