International Convention 2025 Scholarship Form

BBYO strives to ensure that any member who would like to participate in BBYO International Convention (IC) is able to do so without financial limitations being an obstacle. Resources are dedicated to families with financial need. The scholarship committee reviews each application and makes award decisions based on the information provided. All scholarship inquiries and applications received will be strictly confidential. Please note that scholarships are limited, and most scholarship awards range from $100 to $400 (a full program cost scholarship is never granted). In addition to scholarships, we offer payment plans.

IC scholarship applications must be received no later than October 22, 2024.
All scholarship applications require submission of the first page of the parent’s most recent 1040 US Tax Form, showing Adjusted Gross Income (AGI). For Canadian families wage verification or their tax assessment will be accepted. Scholarship decisions cannot be made without the required tax information.

Scholarship announcements will be made October 31, 2024, by email.

IC applications are awarded on a rolling basis. Please note that the rolling scholarship period is not guaranteed, and families are encouraged not to delay applying. Funds may not be available later in the season.

All families are also strongly encouraged to check their local community agencies for scholarships. Many organizations offer scholarships for Jewish educational and leadership experiences. These include JCCs, Federations, Synagogues, and B'nai B'rith groups.

To receive scholarship awards, participants must successfully complete the convention without any disciplinary problems. Should the participant be sent home for disciplinary/code of conduct reasons, the participant must reimburse BBYO for the scholarship award.

This could be a financial contribution from family members or friends.

In the best effort for our committee to allocate resources, we look at families combine income, meaning if a family maintains two households/file taxes separately, we request a copy of each parent/guardians 1040 tax form or Notice of Assessment (Canada). Files can be submitted privately if necessary. If you are only submitting one parent's file, the child must be on the tax return or accompanied by legal documentation of financial responsibilities.
