All applicants must be registered for a BBYO Summer Experience with a deposit prior to applying for the New York Teen Initiative (NYTI) scholarship.

This application is open to Jewish teens currently in grades 9-12 who are permanent residents of New York City’s five boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk, or Westchester counties.

By signing below, we are stating that the information outlined above is accurate and that the scholarship we are requesting is necessary for the applicant to be able to attend this program. We realize that funds for financial assistance are extremely limited and that receiving the full amount of funds requested is not guaranteed.

To receive scholarship awards, participants must successfully complete the program, which means participants must attend, and complete the program without any disciplinary problems. Should the participant be sent home for disciplinary problems, they must reimburse BBYO for the scholarship award.

Although applicants are encouraged to seek additional sources of funding, preference will be shown to applicants who are not expecting to receive over 50% funding from an outside Jewish agency. If you receive more than 50% funding from outside Jewish agencies and received funding from BBYO, we reserve the right to reduce our scholarship allocation.
